Client Spotlight: Animal Instinct Advertising

I love people who do things outside the box and do it better than anyone.
One of the first people that comes to mind that embodies this statement is Greg Newberry of Animal Instinct Advertising.
First of all, he owns a boutique agency—Animal Instinct Advertising—that specializes in doing commercial work for zoos and aquariums.
Here’s a guy who excels at working with animals—everyone in the biz knows that's the hardest thing in the world.
Hint: he’s amazing at it. Check out his work HERE.
Second, Greg marches to his own drum.
Case in point:
Greg needed a new spokesperson voice for one of his clients—Newport Aquarium—so he went down a rabbit hole and found me on the Internet—not through the traditional agency route.
What is strange and beautiful about this (and what makes me sure the universe wanted us to meet) is that:
I had zero SEO (search engine optimization) on my website at the time. Do you have any idea how many female voiceover artists are out there? How the heck did did he even find me?
In a world full of VO scams I didn’t even question if Greg had a real job he was casting, I knew he did—I was excited and wrote him back.
When I auditioned, I didn’t nail it the first time, so he told me exactly what they wanted, directed me, then had me send in the best audition possible.
When it was down to me and another artist, he believed in and went to bat for me.
I booked it!
Greg and I went on to be a great team—lots of laughter and fun in the booth, fantastic direction, forward vision, and smart editing.
We even got a nomination for our campaign from SOVAS.
I’m really proud of the work we did together—take a listen to one of the spots HERE.
